Getting Started: How to Use TeamScribe with Your Team
After you register a TeamScribe account, you have one free team inbox to collect feedback via a unique public URL. Next, make this URL available to your colleagues and encourage them to share consistently:
- Get the public URL by clicking the "copy" icon on the team page.
- (Optional) Add a note, so others understand what it’s all about. For example:
"Hi all, we’re using TeamScribe to gather feedback and track morale in the team. Please share your thoughts and feelings confidentially here: <URL>"
- Share the URL via your preferred communication tool (see some ideas below).
TIP 1: when there is new feedback, you’ll get an email notification and see the updates in your organization account.
TIP 2: renew the team URL from time to time so only current team members keep access — just make sure to communicate this change to others.
🚀 You're all set! Now you can easily track team morale, gain valuable insights, and take timely actions. Check out the tips below for inspiration and best practices to make the most of TeamScribe!
Inspiration and Best Practices
TeamScribe easily integrates into your team’s workflows and favorite tools. Here are some practical ways to get the most out of it:
Slack
Install TeamScribe Slack app and connect it with your organization’s workspace in just one click. You can then interact with TeamScribe from Slack: pair channels with team inboxes, set reminders, and view the up-to-date morale and trends by team.
Not a fan of a dedicated app? Follow the suggestions for other messengers below.
Messengers (Microsoft Teams, Telegram, and others)
Copy the team URL, add a custom note (or copy the one suggested above), and post a message in the relevant channel of your preferred messenger. It’s best to regularly remind channel members to share, and if there is such a feature, pin the sharing URL at the top of the channel.
This may sound a bit old-school, but sending an email to an internal group or specific colleagues within your company is a great way to add extra privacy and a personal touch. You can easily send emails with a note and a sharing link as often as you like.
Recurring Calendar Event
Add a recurring event or reminder to your team’s calendar – include the URL and a brief description, so others can see what it’s all about.
Add to a Knowledge Base
It’s a good idea to add (and update) the sharing URL in your company knowledge base, be it in Notion, Confluence, Google Docs, or elsewhere. It’s also good to include it in the onboarding documents so newcomers are introduced to TeamScribe right away.
Retro
If you have Retro meetings, include the sharing URL in the event description in your calendar, and suggest sharing any feedback about the sprint or the current mood in general.
Miro
Many companies already use Miro to facilitate Retros and other group meetings. Add the TeamScribe sharing URL to the board and make sure others can access it.
Task Managers
Add a recurring task on Todoist, Asana, or whichever task manager you use in your team. Assign it to relevant people to complete every week, month, or as often as you’d like.
Free or Premium?
TeamScribe comes in two versions: Free and Premium. The Free plan is great for getting started. You can use one team inbox to gather feedback from your whole organization, perfect for startups and small companies with up to 10 team members.
If you go for the Premium plan, you can create up to 5 teams and invite admins to manage them. This is handy for bigger organizations with multiple teams or squads, like a Sales Team, Backend Squad, and so on.
